The lucky winner and their guest will experience five captivating days filled with scientific talks, concerts and parties in Norway’s Trondheim this June.

Starmus Festival is a celebration of science and the arts with presentations and performances from the most influential scientists and musicians on the planet, including a selection of Nobel Prize winners. Professor Stephen Hawking writes: “Starmus is an important and very unique interdisciplinary festival of people working in different fields — astronomers, astronauts, cosmologists, physicists, philosophers, musicians, artists, biologists etc., who share an interest in the universe, how it began and is now and how we may explore and use its many facets.”

Norway’s scientific and cultural capital, Trondheim, is the destination for the fourth festival this June 18-23, 2017. The festival will explore life and the universe through fascinating talks, debates, panel discussions and events. Professor Stephen Hawking will grace the Starmus stage as keynote speaker, and the Starmus advisory board consistsof the festival’s Founder Garik Israelian, Stephen  Hawking, Brian May, Peter Gabriel and Richard Dawkins, who have together devised an incredible programme.

The lucky winner will spend five nights at a luxury hotel in Trondheim, in The Clarion Hotel & Congress. Centrally located, The Clarion Hotel & Congress is a modern, vibrant hotel with a stunning sky bar.

Situated just above 63 degrees north, the coastal city of Trondheim was founded more than a thousand years ago and has strong academic traditions combined with a culture-loving population. The city hosts jazz, blues, chamber music, world music, rock and pop festivals all year round, with a peak during the summer when the light almost never leaves. During the Starmus Festival in Trondheim in June 2017, the sun will go down at midnight and rise at 3am. Finally, Trondheim is Norway’s leading food region, with the opportunity to eat high quality local and organic produce.
